The Lillian Harris Letters
Lillian Harris was born and raised in Spencer, Indiana. She attended Indiana University and afterwards taught high school English. She worked for Prohibition repeal and later campaigned for repeal of FDR’s New Deal. She became a travel director and took groups to Europe, Russia, India, and Hong Kong.
Lillian saved decades of correspondence. Her letters and her photos, combined with newspaper clippings, are the content of this book. We get to know Lillian and her family in remarkable detail.
